The Spalding Trophy

The event will take the format of AC advanced play, alternate strokes doubles. This innovative format is designed to allow experienced players to support improving players when playing advanced level play. 

Pairs can be submitted in the following ways:

1) Clubs can select pairs from their membership;
2) Individual players from different clubs can form a pair (for instance it would be possible for a pair to be formed with a player each from Meadows and Glasgow Clubs.

The venue at Knightswood has four lawns. It will be possible therefore to accept multiple entries from both clubs and individual pairs. The format will depend on the number of entries received. Doubles pairings should typically be a low handicap player (between minus up to 5) and a high handicap player (between 6 and 12) although there can be flexibility with these handicap values.

What is the difference between Download and Subscribe?

Downloading the fixture list and importing it into your calendar gives you a one-off snapshot of the fixture list at the time of download.

Subscribing to the fixture list will automatically keep your calendar up to date with any changes to the fixture list.

Which calendars are supported?

Any calendar that supports iCal (.ics) format including:
