Scottish Short Croquet Championship 2024

16 June 2024, Balgreen

On a damp Sunday with extra downpours to keep us on our toes, eight players from all the Edinburgh clubs assembled at Balgreen, with handicaps from 4-20. Welcome to Soma Orehóczki, a new member at the Meadows playing in his first Scottish tournament.

The format used was Swiss with a 1 hour time limit.  After five rounds a clear winner had emerged with Roger Binks winning 5 from 5 playing very well and consistently throughout. Following closely on his heels were Mark Shanks on 4 wins, and Bruce Bennet and Soma Orehóczki on 3 wins each.

Congratulations to Roger.
