WCF World Golf Croquet Championship

Trophy:  The WCF Trophy is a brass impression of a globe on a mahogany base.

Mark McInerney (Ireland) beat Hisham Aboesbaa (Egypt) 3-0 in the final of the 9th Championship, which was held in England in July 2011. 

The 10th is scheduled for Cairo, Egypt in 2013.  Scotland is entitled to nominate one player to the competition direct, and there are wild card opportunities also.

WCF World GC Over-50s Championship

WCF Over-50s’ World Golf Croquet Championship

Hisham Aboesbaa (Egypt) beat Stephen Mulliner (England) 3-2 in the final of the 1st Championship, which was held at the Egyptian Croquet Federation Club, Cairo, Egypt in October 2010.  In 2010, Jola Jurasinska did not qualify for the knock-out stage. 

Scotland is entitled to nominate one player to the competition direct, and there are wild card opportunities also.

WCF Under-21s’ World Golf Croquet Championship

Moustafa Nazar (Egypt) beat Miss Pauline Salib (Egypt) in the final of the 2nd Championship, which was held in England in 2011.  Scotland was not represented at either Championship. 

Scotland is entitled to nominate one player to the competition direct, and there are wild cards opportunities also.

Duncan Dixon (New Zealand) beat Hussan Shaker (Egypt) 7-3, 7-4, 7-5 in the final.
Scotland was not represented.

2011:     England:
Moustafa Nazar (Egypt) beat Miss Pauline Salib (Egypt) in the final.
Scotland was not represented.

WCF World GC Team Championship

The first edition of this new event comprises two Divisions. 

The First Division was played in Johannesburg from 26 November to 2 December 2012 and feature teams from Egypt, England, New Zealand, USA, South Africa, Ireland, Australia, and Sweden.

Egypt are the first Champions, beating New Zealand 7-6 in the final.  England beat Ireland 3-2 to clinch third place.

The Second Division is to be played in Cairo from 9 December 2012.  It will feature teams from Wales, Germany, Scotland, Norway, Czech Republic, Belgium, Spain and Latvia.

WCF Women’s World Golf Croquet Championship

Trophy:  The Clarke Trophy, a Gold Medal and a plaque.

Rachel Rowe (England) beat Jenny Clarke (New Zealand) 3-2 in the final of the 4th Championship, which was held at Bay of Plenty, New Zealand in November 2011.  Scotland’s Jola Jurasinska did not qualify for the knock-out stage.  SCA Members Jane Morrison (Ire) and Samantha Curry (Eng, last 32) also played. 

Scotland is entitled to nominate two players to the competition direct, and there are wild card opportunities also.
